People always think it can't happen to them. But it can. I know, because it happened to me. Before I even knew what was going on, I was rushed to the hospital and told I needed emergency quintuple bypass surgery. Without that surgery, I would die.
 
Well, the surgery was a success as I stand here today, but that was only the beginning of the problems. I suddenly found myself inundated with insurmountable bills that incurred during my hospitalization and time away from work. The last thing I needed right then was to be stressed about my finances, and yet I felt completely hopeless.
 
Fortunately I was connected with the people at Faith's Hope Foundation. They, along with my family and friends, held a benefit for me to help raise the money I so desperately needed. I am so very thankful for Faith's Hope for the role they played in lightening a burden that once felt so incredibly overwhelming. I will be forever grateful.

Steve and I were talking about how it is probably time to remove our family from the Faith's Hope site.  Steve has returned to work, although the doctors said he could not do it ! They were pushing him to go on disability, but Steve just does not have a disabled mentality.
 
We have fared very well !  We managed to get the medical bills down to around $10,000., with only a couple smaller bills turned over. We finally had nice pay day and decided to use some of the money to do what was supposed to get done last year with our home equity loan and paint and roof the house. (in the process)  My 2001 Ford Explorer had some serious mechanical issues ... so we decided to trade it in for a safer, more comfortable car and now our payments are $119.00 a month less, with a great warrenty.  (A little more to put towards bills)
 
Have ya ever heard the old saying...
 
                          "God will give you double for your trouble ? "
 
We are now beginning to understand this ! 
 
                             He has shown Himself faithful once again.
 
And He alone gets all the credit !
 
I thank you for any time you invested in the needs of our family.  We will remember you (your family) and your cause in our prayers !
