A Note From the
Executive Director |

Dear Friends and Supporters,
When Tanya and I first developed the vision for Faith's Hope Foundation in 2002, we had no idea that God would stretch the blessings nationwide! Together with our supporter's generosity and the partnership of many organizations, families have seen the light of hope despite their crises. The past five years have reminded us never to underestimate God's good plans for those who love him.
This year alone we have exceeded many goals. We have paid mortgage, rent, utility bills and bought groceries for over 85 families whose loved-ones endured long-term illnesses and disabilities created by hospitalization. We have created partnerships with the Ronald McDonald Houses of Orange County and Northern Nevada, Faith-Based Solutions, Joni and Friends, the Nevada Cancer Institute, the Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans, God's Katrina Kitchen in Mississippi, Life Line of Tennessee and Stuart Sobel Consulting. In Nov. 2006, a comedy night with renowned Christian comedians Brad Stine, Kerri Pomarolli and Ron McGehee was held in Pasadena, CA. Promoted by KKLA and MCed by Frank Pastore and Reba Toney, the Comedy Night raised over $15,000 in cash and like-kind donations for Faith's Hope.
Faith's Hope Foundation has seen substantial growth over the past year through partnerships like these and by increasing our exposure to the local community and nation. We now have a presence in 13 states!
In 2006 Faith's Hope had a major impact on many families in need, a small number of them including:
-
Willene Hardie, who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, now has a Hoyer Lift and wheelchair accessible van because of the $20,000 raised from donations through Faith's Hope Foundation.
-
Through Faith's Katrina Fund, a $5,000 grant was given to the Bearden Family, a medically challenged family who suffered extreme damage from Hurricane Katrina.
-
A $6,500 grant from the Katrina Fund was received by the Dave Family, who faced the crisis of stage 4 breast cancer as well as the Hurricane.
-
Kent Keller, a pastor who suffers from a medical condition and whose family experienced the devastation of Katrina, received a $6,500 Grant from the Katrina Fund.
-
A fundraiser raised over $10,000 for the Willhoite Family, another family suffering through a crisis.
-
The Schoenmann Family received house payments, car payments, and a donated jeep worth $5,000 from Faith's Hope Foundation and the Foundation's partnership with the Ronald McDonald House of Orange County. In addition, a fundraiser earned $3,000 for the Family.
As we look forward to many more years of service, we are continually thankful to you, our friends and supporters, for your open hearts and generosity. Many families would be without a home or future hope without your aid. It is because of you and God's blessings that our Foundation continues to help those in great need.
In His care,

The Luevanos |

Armando and Estella's life changed forever the day their son Michael had his first seizure. Michael was diagnosed with epilepsy, a life-threatening medical condition, and since then has been hospitalized on and off over the last three years.
Michael requires full-time care, so Armando and Estella are unable to maintain fulltime employment. In the midst of taking care of their son, both Armando and Estella lost their respective jobs. Although Armando has since obtained employment, they are deep in debt. Hospital bills are more than the family can handle during this very trying time in their lives.
There is always light at the end of the tunnel, and Armando, Estella and Michael credit Faith's Hope Foundation for their hope in a better future.

Success Story
The LaForests |
Dear Faith's Hope Foundation and all the generous donators,
I would like to introduce myself and my family. My name is Jamie and my husband, Kristopher and I have been married four years. We had our first baby, Aidan, last August. Aidan was beautiful and what we thought a healthy baby boy. We were so excited, happy and thankful for we were taking our baby home and beginning the next chapter of our lives. It was three hours after discharge that we noticed our son having trouble breathing. We rushed him to the hospital by our house (not the one he was born at for my doctor was not staffed there). After four hours of uncertainty and many, many tests, the doctor was still not sure what was wrong with Aidan.
The doctor phoned the nearest hospital equipped with a Neonatal Unit, and it was the doctor on call at that hospital who diagnosed our sons' heart defect and immediately and sent his transport team and medicine that Aidan needed to stay alive. During transport Aidan coded! At the second hospital my husband and I found out about Aidan's heart defect and how critical he was. We were told if he were a candidate, he would undergo a series of three open-heart surgeries or need a heart transplant. My husband had no choice but to take an extended leave from work without pay, so he could be at the hospital when needed.
